Guys! My Cape Clasp 𝙏𝙄𝙆𝙊𝙎 finally arrived! *insert happy dance*

My excitement stems from the fact that for the longest time, I’ve been in search for an outdoor accessory brand that strongly supports an environmental cause. I was also particular that it has to be one that can withstand salt-water and various weather conditions.

It was fate when I came across Cape Clasp’s website and I knew that I’ve found THE ONE.

That’s why I was ecstatic when these arrived in my doorstep!

Now about these hip ocean jewelry:

For those like myself who spend a lot of time in the water during adventures, I believed the best choice for a long-term accessory would be weather-proof ones. When you’re looking a cool accessory to bring with you, or to wear with you, it is important to consider the conditions that you will be exposing yourself (and your accessory) to.

Other “ocean” bracelets are roped, string-strapped, leather-strapped and beaded – I personally would not recommend these for scuba diving as these are either not made for salt-water, OR worse-yet, might get tangled with your gear. At the end of the day though, it’s all a matter of preference.

I adore that Cape Clasp’s bracelets are lightweight and are made of 100% recycled ocean plastics – a cause close to my heart. Like any diver, I try my best when I can to clean up after sunken trash and improperly disposed items that I’ve found underwater. I often see chip bags, beer bottles, amber bottles, rubber slippers and clothing during my dives, but I am careful to check if removing these would harm the surrounding corals, or if they already have inhabitants. Always check before you clean-up!

I-spy someone’s worn t-shirt.

𝙏𝙄𝙆𝙊𝙎 are made from ocean plastic as its raw material, and they come in different colors representing various causes such as mint green for Cape Cod National Seashore and magenta for Denali National Park. _I’m so excited to partner with a brand that stands for everything I believe in – that seas should be plastic-free for the sake of it’s inhabitants.

Got my hands on them, and never lettin’ go! These bracelets are cleverly designed and serves as a conscious reminder for us (diver or not, outdoorsy or not) to reduce the use of plastics, to save our oceans and the planet, the only home we’ve got.

I can’t wait to bring the cause and @capeclasp with me in my travels.
